Don’t you love the deep rich color of Poppy Parade? And its rich color stands out beautifully against a white background. This card actually comes together pretty easily so you will be able to make it in no time. It would make a beautiful Mother’s Day card.

  • Painted Poppies bundle (stamp set and dies)
  • Strong & Beautiful stamp set (for sentiments)
  • Poppy Parade Stampin Blends combo
  • Tuxedo Black Memento stamp pad
  • Stitched So Sweetly dies
  • Stitched Rectangles
  • Poppy Parade cardstock
  • Basic White Thick cardstock
  • Holiday Rhinestones
  • Cut Poppy Parade cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″. Burnish folded edge with bone folder.
  • Cut Basic white 5 1/4″ x 4″. This will be a landscape card.
  • Stamp the cluster of poppies across the bottom of the white cardstock using black ink.
    • Color in the poppies with Dark Poppy Parade Stampin Blend.
    • TIP: For the smaller flowers, try lightly dabbing the ink. Because the markers are alcohol based, the ink will spread, so it’s sometimes best to use a very light tough and just dab the ink onto the image.
    • Once you’re done, adhere the layer to the card base.
  • Die cut a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock using the 2nd largest rectangle die from Stitched So Sweetly dies
  • Die cut a piece of white cardstock using the 6th largest rectangle die from Stitched Rectangle dies.
  • Stamp cluster of poppies across the bottom
  • Adhere white layer to Poppy Parade Layer, then adhere to the card
  • Stamp the single poppy image onto a scrap piece of white cardstock.
    • Color the flower with dark Poppy Parade Stampin Blend and use Old Olive for the stem and leaves
    • Use adhesive for the bottom of the flower and put two mini dimensionals on the back of the flower, then adhere to the card as shown in the photo.
  • Stamp sentiment “Thank you for always being there for me” from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set onto a scrap piece of white cardstock with black ink. Trim around the sentiment.
  • Cut a scrap piece of Poppy Parade cardstock 1″ x 3″ and use Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to add a decorative edge to each end.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the label. Put some dimensionals on the back and adhere to the card.
  • I added three red rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones pack to embellish the card.

For the inside, I stamped Happy Mother’s Day from Strong & Beautiful.

This is a card that any mother would be happy to receive from you, especially when they know that you made it, and I hope you do make it. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
